Chestnut Market is seeking a Gas Attendant to provide full-service fueling and exceptional customer service at our New Jersey stations. You will safely dispense fuels, process payments, and maintain a clean forecourt while adhering to safety policies and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Gas Attendant, Fuel Service Associate, or Customer Service Associate preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to follow fuel safety procedures and environmental guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-service fueling assistance to customers in accordance with New Jersey state law.
• Greet customers promptly and provide courteous and professional customer service.
• Safely dispense gasoline and diesel fuel into customer vehicles.
• Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions when required.
• Monitor the fuel pump area for safety hazards and maintain a safe fueling environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the fuel island, pump area, and surrounding forecourt.
• Assist with minor vehicle service requests when applicable (e.g., windshield cleaning).
• Follow fuel handling safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Communicate fuel equipment issues, spills, or safety concerns to store management.
• Support store team members during busy periods when needed.
• Represent the company with a friendly, helpful, and professional attitude.
