Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Stockroom Clerk to manage garment inventories, process orders, and ensure quality control in the stockroom. The role involves receiving garments, verifying invoices, maintaining records, and communicating any issues to supervision.

Essential duties include selecting and preparing garments for routes, performing basic alterations, and ensuring the work area remains organized and compliant with safety standards. This is an on-site position in Durham, NC.

Qualifications

• Ability to recognize colors and sizes accurately.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Ability to comprehend and follow written packing instructions.
• Ability to comprehend and follow verbal direction.

Responsibilities

• Place or prepare garment orders using computer, phone or fax and maintain stockroom records.
• Process new customer contracts to build correct inventories.
• Receive garments from vendors and verify orders against invoices.
• Identify and track shortages, back orders or other problems and notify supervision.
• Inspect garments for quality and perform alterations as needed.
• Prepare garments for route carts and loading according to instructions.
