Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Dallas, Inc. is seeking an Entry-level Textile Hanger in Rockwall, TX to support donation processing and merchandising operations. You will hang textile goods, sort donations, and maintain a clean, organized processing area as part of daily duties.

The role requires basic customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to read and understand English. This entry-level position offers daytime shifts and a supportive team environment within a retail setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to adhere to Core Principles.
• Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.
• Ability to react calmly and respond to emergency situations.
• Ability to listen and follow directions.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Knowledge of textile articles as related to garment classification (gowns, shirts, pants, etc).

Responsibilities

• Sort, box, and label hangers by type.
• Hang garments in a timely manner to maintain prescribed production level.
• Place and present all merchandise on appropriate racks in accordance with merchandising policies and procedures.
• Rotate stock on a timely basis and in accordance with established procedures; bring stock to sales floor in a timely manner.
• Keep production area clean and safe.
• Maintain a well‑groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including name badge.
• Assist in textile color rotation per established procedure.
• Direct customers to proper area and provide general information as requested.
• Stay alert and watch out for shoplifting; notify store management on suspicious activity.
• Refer all customer complaints to management in a timely manner.
• React calmly and respond to emergency situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader.
