Job summary

Shreveport North Hotel & Casino is seeking personnel for Operations - Laundry and Wardrobe in Shreveport, LA. The role involves sorting and finishing garments, operating steam tunnel and pressing equipment, and replacing buttons.

The team maintains quality and safety standards on-site. The ideal candidate will have up to 6 months of garment finishing experience, ability to stand/walk during shifts, and the capacity to obtain necessary licenses.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of experience in finishing/processing garments with experience on steam tunnel, pressers, and shirt units preferred.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
• Other physical requirements include lifting, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and bending.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of a normal shift.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for garment sorting and finishing to include utilizing steam tunnel, pressing equipment and replacing buttons.
• Responsible for sorting of garments by classification and color. Finish all garments to a quality standard.
• Maintain all quality and efficiency standards.
• Monitor and maintain all safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Ensure equipment malfunctions are detected and remedied.
• Other related duties and tasks as assigned by Management.
