The Candidate We're Looking For:

Passion for nature-based education and working with youth. Deep plant knowledge isn't required, but we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being outdoors, finds fulfillment in working with plants, and is eager to learn and teach. Comfort working outside in varying weather conditions is essential.

Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm. You'll work directly with students, teachers, and community members. We need someone who is naturally outgoing, comfortable engaging with diverse groups, and brings positive energy to learning spaces.

Reliability and adaptability. Garden education is dynamic -weather changes, plants surprise us, and classroom plans shift. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable problem-solving on the fly.

Experience working with youth is valued but not required. We prioritize candidates who can engage authentically and have enthusiasm for sharing knowledge. Strong communication skills and confidence facilitating learning experiences matter more than formal teaching credentials.

Reliable transportation to travel between sites in Sussex County and transport garden materials.

Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
