Job summary

MGM Springfield is seeking a Garde Manger Cook to join our high-energy culinary team. You will execute large-scale food preparation, manage inventory, and collaborate closely with our Chef to deliver show-stopping presentations and unforgettable flavors.

Starting rate is $22.05 per hour. This role requires knowledge of food products, precise plating, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cold kitchen setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of prior relevant experience in a similar resort setting preferred.
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience as a Cook preferred.
• Will be working in a cold kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques.
• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment.
• Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service.
• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.
• Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation.
• Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups.
