Job summary

LRS is seeking a Helper to work with the driver in refuse collection on a daily route. You will ride along with the driver, read maps and route sheets, and assist with operation of collection equipment to ensure timely pickups.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, completing service tickets, and reporting any equipment issues. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather is required, with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No license suspensions within the last 2 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
• Must be able to read and speak English clearly.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.

• Ride along with driver to help pick up refuse on route
• Read maps, diagrams and route sheet in order to follow a designated daily route
• Ability to operate controls and collection equipment
• Complete daily vehicle inspections, fueling and fluid level checks
• Complete required daily service tickets and reports
• Report any mechanical programs with equipment
• Complete daily reports, logs, load/yardage, and load ticket receipts
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must not have any license suspensions within the last 2 years.

• Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

• Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
• Possible exposure to high traffic conditions while outside of the vehicle.
