Job summary

Executive Doors and Gates is seeking a motivated garage door and gate technician in Columbia, TN. You will diagnose, repair, and install doors and gates and deliver outstanding service to clients.

This outdoor role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and comfort working in varying weather. You will use hand and power tools, troubleshoot problems, and support customers with reliable solutions.

Job description

Executive Doors and Gates is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team. As a garage door and gate technician, your role will include diagnosing, repairing and installing garage doors and gates. We are a locally owned and operated, family run business. Qualifications:

Physical strength and stamina are essential for this job. Some responsibilities require lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials.

Skills/qualifications needed:

• The ability to operate hand tools and power tools
• At least one year of experience with some type of handywork/construction job is required
• Capable of heavy lifting (up to 75lbs)
• The ability to troubleshoot, solve problems and utilize critical thinking
• A self-starter who takes responsibility for their role
• Carpentry background and some welding is a plus but not required
• Able to work in a variety of weather conditions (this is an outdoor job)
• The ability to go up and down ladders multiple times

This job involves:

• Servicing garage doors and gates
• Installing garage doors and gates
• Problem solving as to why a garage door or gate isn't working as it should and working towards a solution for the client.
• Exceptional customer service as the technician deals directly with the client.
