Job summary

Sunpro in Lindon, UT is seeking a diligent Garage Door Installer / Service Technician to join our field team. You will install garage doors and openers, perform service and repairs, and ensure customer needs align with company priorities.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid medical card, a clean MVR, and the ability to work safely in varying conditions. CDL is preferred but not mandatory; prior installation experience is a plus.

• Current medical card and clean MVR required; Class A or B CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install garage doors and garage door openers at job sites.
• Perform service and repairs on garage doors and door openers.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Load and unload supplies and materials.
• Communicate job status and key issues to Manager.
• Perform routine pre- and post-inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.

JOB TITLE: Garage Door Installer / Service Technician

JOB LOCATION: Lindon, UT

FUNCTION: Effectively install and service garage doors and garage door openers in accordance to customer needs and organizational priorities.

KEY ACTIVITIES:

• Visualize, fulfill, and implements the company vision and core values.
• Install garage doors and garage door openers at job sites.
• Perform service and repairs on garage doors and door openers.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Load and unload supplies and materials.
• Effectively communicate job status and key issues to Manager.
• Perform routine pre- and post- inspections to ensure suitable working nature of equipment and vehicles. Maintain necessary equipment logs and inform supervisor of deficiencies.
• Prioritize work activity according to business need and as directed by supervisor.
• Assist with installation of insulation when the workload dictates the need.
• Obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Adhere to company safety standards and procedures.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.
• Demonstrates initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.
• Able to perform accurate measurement and basic calculations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience installing garage doors or similar activity a plus.
• Current medical card and clean MVR required, Class A or B CDL preferred.
• Experienced residential/commerical installers preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physical Work Requirements - Heavy: exerting up to 50 lbs of force regularly.
• Repetitive motion associated with operating equipment, unloading materials, and assorted manual/power tools.
• Regular exposure to the elements.
• Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity.
