A local garage door service provider in Boise, ID is seeking a skilled Garage Door Installer. Responsibilities include installing and repairing residential and commercial garage doors. Qualifications

• Proven experience installing and servicing garage doors and openers (residential and/or commercial).
• Ability to safely lift heavy materials (up to 50lbs) and work at heights using ladders or lifts.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, welding, or fabrication preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair residential and commercial overhead doors and openers.
• Measure and prepare openings for new installations.
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical issues with doors and openers.
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical issues with doors and openers; perform troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
• Ensure all work meets company standards and complies with safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding installation details, maintenance requirements, and product operation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, parts used, and time spent (AVGD uses Service Fusion).
• Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment organized and in good working condition.
• Assist in training junior installers or apprentices when needed.

Overview

All Valley Garage Doors – Location: Boise, ID • Employment Type: Full-Time • Reports To: Field Manager / Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Garage Door Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, repairing, and servicing both residential and commercial garage doors and openers. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Garage door experience is not required – Seeking hard working, dependable professional willing to learn and grow in the trade with long term opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair residential and commercial overhead doors, rolling steel doors, and door openers.
• Measure and prepare openings for new installations.
• Assemble and install door sections, tracks, springs, cables, rollers, hinges, and related hardware.
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical issues with doors and openers; perform troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
• Ensure all work meets company standards and complies with safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding installation details, maintenance requirements, and product operation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, parts used, and time spent. AVGD uses Service Fusion for dispatch and job notes.
• Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment organized and in good working condition.
• Assist in training junior installers or apprentices when needed.

• OSHA or safety training certification. We can provide access to OSHA training
• Scissor lift operation trained
• Work performed in various environments — residential homes, commercial buildings, warehouses, and new construction sites.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and physical labor.
• Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime or emergency service calls.
• Overnight trips are required from time to time. Per diem paid when out of town overnight
