DLVR is seeking a Gameplay Engineer to design and implement new VR gameplay features using Unity and C#. The role involves collaborating with a small team, optimizing performance for VR, and participating in weekly playtests with fans. Remote, global contract position.

You will work on multiplayer VR games, contribute to ongoing projects, and help push the boundaries of VR gaming with a community-driven development approach.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in game development with Unity.
  • Strong proficiency in C# programming language.
  • Experience with VR development and optimization.
  • Knowledge of multiplayer game development and networking.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a small high performance team to develop engaging and innovative gameplay mechanics for our games (BIG BALLERS VR, Animal Rivals and {secret-projects}).
  • Deeply autonomous work where you're involved with planning, designing and implementing features with direct impact on our games.
  • Implement gameplay features in Unity using C# scripting.
  • Optimize game performance to ensure smooth gameplay experience in VR.
  • Test and debug gameplay systems to identify and fix issues.
  • Work closely with artists and designers to integrate assets and designs.
  • Weekly playtests including playing with the team AND fans of our games!
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in VR gaming to enhance the gameplay experience

Job Overview:


Are you passionate about creating immersive virtual reality experiences? Do you have a strong background in Unity development? Join our team at DLVR and help us shape the future of VR gaming. As a Gameplay Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing new game features and working closely with our discord community.


You’ll be directly involved developing one of our top games or possibly one of our secret projects in the works.


We specialize in multiplayer, VR, F2P, social games and develop them in a highly iterative and community engaged way. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge VR games that are redefining the capabilities of virtual reality gaming and scaling them to millions and millions of players worldwide.
