Job summary

College Park Skyhawks are seeking a Communications Assistant to support game-night media relations and credentialing at Gateway Center Arena. The role covers credentialing, media services, press conference coordination, and creating team publications for all Skyhawks home games.

You will help ensure a smooth media and guest experience during events. The role requires pursuing a bachelor’s degree (junior/senior) or recent graduate, with strong Microsoft Office skills and excellent organization.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree as a junior or senior, or a recent graduate.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Hand out media credentials and materials at the media entrance three hours before tip-off and during game time.
• Assist with creating game notes, postgame recaps, and other team publications.
• Support press conference coordination and credential management for all Skyhawks home games.
• Distribute box scores to Skyhawks bench and media during timeouts and intermissions.
• Help gather players for postgame press conferences with media.
• Assist PR Coordinator with game notes, postgame recaps, and publications.
