Job summary

Lindsay Corporation is seeking a Galvanizing Technician in Lindsay, Nebraska. The role involves operating equipment that cleans metal for galvanizing, loading items onto cranes and racks, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Willingness to follow Lindsay policies and maintain a safe environment.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work in a manufacturing environment with varying conditions (cold, heat, noise, dust).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Willing to wear PPE including metguards, eyewear, hard hats, gloves, ear protection.

Responsibilities

• Load objects on cranes and racks for processing through chemicals and rinsing baths.
• Examine cleaned objects to ensure standards are met.
• Follow safety rules and report hazards or injuries to Team Leader.
• Work overtime and weekends as required to meet customer needs.

Position Summary

A galvanizing production worker will run equipment that chemically cleans grease, scale, dirt, and other foreign matter from the metal objects to prepare them for the galvanizing process.

Essential Functions

• Load objects on cranes and on racks or containers that will be carried through a series of chemicals and rinsing baths.
• Examine cleaned objects to ensure standards are met.
• Must follow safety rules and regulations, including the reporting of any hazards, violations or injuries to your Team Leader, no matter how minor.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required by the Team Leaders to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Must be able to adhere to Lindsay policies and procedures, while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, (push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.) and reach to perform job functions
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with conditions including but not limited to cold, heat, bright sun, noise, and nuisance dusts
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, etc)
