Job summary

Novax Recruitment is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead galvanizing operations at a heavy-manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Texas. You will supervise first- and second-shift teams, drive safety, quality and production targets, and mentor staff to achieve continuous improvement.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong problem-solving, clear communication and the ability to plan daily workloads, coordinate equipment, and ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures.

Qualifications

• At least three years of operational and supervisory experience within manufacturing.
• Galvanizing experience is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of manufacturing safety and quality procedures.
• Experience leading, motivating and developing production employees.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, non-climate-control industrial facility.
• Able to operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a small team of first- and second-shift employees.
• Plan daily workloads and ensure assignments are completed safely and on time.
• Train, instruct and support production employees.
• Monitor galvanizing processes to maximise quality and operating efficiency.
• Ensure tanks and equipment are operating correctly, including acid levels and temperatures.
• Adjust processes and production schedules to meet manufacturing targets.
• Complete required production paperwork, inspections and quality documentation.
• Understand product codes and individual product-quality requirements.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, hand tools and other manufacturing equipment when required.
• Identify production problems and implement practical solutions.
• Support occasional weekend working when required.
