Responsibilities

• Executes GAAS audits for VHA's internal audit program.
• Obtains comprehensive information including internal control information and determines audit objectives.
• Adjust audit objectives, scope, and methodology as work progresses.
• Reviews how the organization is conducted and financed, and management authority.
• Conducts audits in accordance with GAGAS and applicable policies.
• Presents findings and recommendations in writing to management with authority to act.
