Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) seeks a Corporate Controller to ensure integrity and stewardship of financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, and policies across a multi‑TIN academic physician organization.

This leader will drive the close process, financial reporting cycles, and Workday Financials governance, partnering with finance leadership to enable accurate forecasting and enterprise decision‑making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 12+ years accounting/controllership experience.
• Experience in academic medicine or large healthcare organizations preferred.
• Multi-entity healthcare/ AMC experience preferred.
• Workday Financials experience and close automation.
• Proven internal controls, policy, and external reporting leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead HMFP’s accounting operations including AP, GL, payroll accounting, fixed assets, intercompany, and treasury accounting.
• Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual closes with accurate results reconciled to Workday.
• Own external financial reporting and coordination with external auditors.
• Establish, maintain, and enforce internal controls, policies, and governance.
• Oversee Workday Financials configuration and COA stewardship in collaboration with finance leadership.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory filings (Form 990s, MA PCs, 1099s).
• Support treasury accounting, cash reconciliation, and investment accounting.
