The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
Successful applicant will be self-motivated, and able to develop an approach from initial procedure review, data processing, task optimization, and specifically communication of technical information to a wide range of audiences, meeting customer needs. Experience using CATIA V5 or similar 3D cad software to create/update/modify design engineering drawings/models.Ability to employ design standards consistent with company standards and accepted design methods as directed to meet the manufacturing, quality, and schedule requirements. Candidates should have a willingness to work off-shift and weekend hours on occasion when program milestones require.
Preferred Skills:
Catia V5/Smart Team experience required. Knowledge on interiors/completions monuments preferred but not a must. Experience in primary/secondary structure is preferred. Experience using routing and installing aircraft wire harnesses and their integration into aircraft interiors using CATIA V5 EHI workbench is a plus. Ideal candidates for the Completions Design Engineer will have mechanical engineering experience with aircraft cabin interiors and systems knowledge.
Bachelor's Degree Engineering or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. 18 months related Engineering experience. Experience credit will be considered for related advance degrees limited to 2 years for Master's and 4 years for PhD in field applicable to the job position.Position Purpose:Performs engineering work related to the investigation and the solution of technical problems associated with research, design, development, service and manufacture of Gulfstream aircraft.
