MCPS seeks qualified athletics coaches. Applicants must be MCPS teachers or certified educators, have completed or be enrolled in the MCPS course “Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries, Coaching Fundamentals and CPR/AED,” and submit the online MCPS application.
Emergency coach tracks exist with Level I and Level II criteria. Coaches are hired for one season and must be interviewed and approved by the school principal or designee.

To be an athletics coach in MCPS, an applicant must be interviewed and hired by the principal or designee at the school where the coaching vacancy exists.
