Job summary

Qualifications

• Must complete the two credit MCPS course Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries, Coaching Fundamentals and CPR/AED.
• Must complete/submit the on-line MCPS Application.
• For Level I Emergency Coach: certified teacher (not necessarily MCPS).
• For Level II Emergency Coach: high school graduate, 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Coach JV baseball for Montgomery Blair High School for one season.
• Coordinate with school administration and athletics staff for scheduling and safety.

FY27: Coach, JV Baseball Coach, Montgomery Blair HS

Job Specific Information : Wage range is dependent on multiple factors. For wage information for this position, please contact the hiring manager. The exact wage depends on multiple factors including but not limited to: the nature of the project, prior experience in MCPS, and current negotiated agreements. This is a Temporary Part Time (TPT) position that does not include benefits.

To be an athletics coach in MCPS, an applicant must be interviewed and hired by the principal or designee at the school where the coaching vacancy exists.

Coaches must be qualified and are hired for one season.

Schools must hire qualified MCPS teachers or professional certified educators to coaching positions, if available.

Emergency coaches may be hired if no qualified MCPS teacher or professional certified educator is available.
