Job summary

Merck offers a Future Talent Program internship of up to 12 weeks in our Research and Development Division. Interns will work with Laboratory Animals Resources (LAR) to support in vivo programs, disease monitoring, and regulatory-related activities, culminating in a final training report.

Qualifications

• Must be available for 10-12 weeks, beginning May 2027.
• Candidates should currently be enrolled in an accredited Veterinary Medical program or pursuing AS/BS/MS in Animal Science, Biology, Pharmacology or relevant discipline.
• ALAT certification preferred; in-vivo laboratory experience preferred; in-vivo husbandry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical cases and monitoring of infectious diseases.
• Coordinate husbandry and aspects of personnel management.
• Collaborate with in vivo drug discovery and development projects.
• Prepare and present a final report on training and research experience.

Education

Veterinary Medical program enrollment or AS/BS/MS in Animal Science, Biology, Pharmacology or relevant discipline
