Job summary

Vitality Bowls California is seeking team members to help deliver fast, friendly service for açai bowls, smoothies, and salads. You will take orders at the POS, assist with phone and third-party orders, and ensure accurate, timely preparation while following health and safety guidelines.

Focus on customer experience, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support opening/closing duties. Prior experience with a POS system and a positive, team-oriented attitude are essential.

Originating in San Ramon, Vitality Bowls specializes in Açai bowls, fresh juice, smoothies, grain bowls, wraps, and salads.

Team Member Responsibilities include:

• Memoriz e training material to learn the health benefits of our menu to customers in an upbeat, informative manner.
• Display a thorough knowledge of our food and recipes. Must be able to follow recipes and to make all food in a timely and sanitary manner.
• Communicate effectively with other staff to ensure that all orders are made correctly and in a timely way – be a team player.
• Be reliable, show up to scheduled shifts on-time and c ommunicate scheduling conflicts in a timely manner, including requests for time-off.
• Have excellent customer service ; be positive and polite .
• Assist customers by processing their orders at the point-of-sale, taking phone orders , and inputting third-party delivery orders .
• Prepare ingredients for all menu items according to proper procedures .
• Continuously uphold cleaning protocols throughout the café and lobby.
• Assist with putting away deliveries and sustain cafe organization.
• Follow proper dish-washing procedures .
• Complete all opening closing duties .
• Follow all county health and safety guidelines, including COVID-19 safety practices.
• Follow all Vitality Bowls policies and standard operating procedures .
• Perform additional tasks and handle special circumstances requested by your manager.
• Follow COVID-19 sanitation procedures and standards

Requirements:

• Become food certified .
• Work with a basic computer, POS system; handling cash and credit cards .
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, occasionally lift heavy boxes, move quickly, and have a sense of urgency .
• Maintain a clean and work appropriate personal appearance .
• Come to work with a positive attitude and are willing to work well with others .

Job Type: Full and Part-Time Available

Compensation: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
