Job summary

ServiceMaster of Greater Washington is seeking an estimator/onsite project coordinator to inspect losses, prepare scope, and create repair estimates for fire, water, mold, and other property damage.

You will sell restoration services, coordinate with project teams, maintain records, and interface with insurance adjusters and customers. Candidates should have a high school diploma, knowledge of restoration, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 70 lbs. On-call work is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of insurance restoration and/or construction industry.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Experience managing teams of 2 or more.
• Experience with entering data using a tablet or mobile phone.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.
• On-call schedule is required.
• Certifications preferred: ASD, FSRT, OCT, WRT.

Responsibilities

• Creates estimates in Xactimate and Symbility.
• Coordinates with Project Manager, Crew Chief, and Lead Tech on scope.
• Documents loss and job progress with photos uploaded to the OS/software.
• Communicates key information using required software notes.
• Estimates using carrier audit standards and manages estimates from client feedback.
• Interacts with adjusters and customers to resolve issues and answer questions.
• May perform QA inspections and obtain customer signatures for approval.

Job Responsibilities

• Inspects loss, prepares scope, and creates estimate for repairs
• Sells property restoration and repair services to residential and commercial clients affected by by fire, water, mold, and other types of property damage
• May perform monitoring on active residential and/or commercial jobs and communicates with customers.
• Maintains records of personnel and resources used on projects and communicates all billable events to clients, customers, and insurance adjusters.
• Responsible for creation of estimates in applicable software such as Xactimate and Symbility
• Coordinates with Project Manager/ Crew Chief/Lead Tech and other coworkers on scope of job
• Document / reviews loss and job progress with clear and descriptive job photos and uploads to the appropriate operating system/software
• Communicates conversations and key information on the job using the notes feature in required software
• Estimates using carrier audit standards and manages the estimate based on feedback from client and customer
• Interfaces with adjusters and customers in person, over the phone, and virtually to resolve issues and answer questions about the loss
• May perform quality assurance inspections after completion and obtain customer signatures for approval, requests payments when necessary.
• Prepares documentation and pictures according to company policies and procedures to ensure reimbursement from insurance companies

Job Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent, college degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of insurance restoration and or construction industry
• Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Able to work independently or work with/lead a team
• Exhibit professionalism, maturity, and the willingness to serve the customer
• Experience managing teams of 2 or more
• Experience with entering data using a tablet or mobile phone
• Strong verbal and written and communication skills
• Strong problem solving and customer service skills
• Must be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlines
• Working on-call schedule is required
• Certifications preferred:
  • ASD – Applied Structural Drying Technician

  • WRT – Water Damage Restoration Technician

Compensation: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
