About The Role

We are seeking an emotionally steady, experienced caregiver to support a male veteran client living in an assisted living and memory care facility in Waco. This is a unique and challenging role that requires confidence, compassion, and strong redirection skills.

Who We’re Looking For

• Caregivers with 2+ years of dementia-specific experience
• Confident working long 10–12 hour shifts (day or night)
• Skilled in redirection, emotional regulation, and de‑escalation
• Comfortable with boundary challenges and verbal outbursts
• Calm, kind, and compassionate—especially under pressure
• Observes infection control, follows care plans, and documents tasks accurately
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Scheduling Details

• Shift length: 5 to 12 hours
• Days: Weekday and weekend availability preferred
• Setting: On‑site support for a male client with advanced dementia in a memory care unit
• Client status: Veteran; physically mobile but cognitively impaired

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, companionship, and safe supervision
• Redirect and de‑escalate verbal or behavioral outbursts when necessary
• Maintain strong, respectful boundaries with the client at all times
• Support the client in routine activities and emotional regulation
• Maintain client safety and dignity
• Communicate clearly with staff, family, and care team
• Clock in/out and document care consistently
