The Goddard School located at 3680 Adamson Way, Aberdeen, MD 21001 is seeking a motivated and caring Assistant Teacher to join our supportive, collaborative team. You will help the Lead Teacher implement engaging lesson plans and create a safe, stimulating classroom that puts children first.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• 90 Hour Preschool and/or 45 Infant/Toddler Certification preferred.
• Experience in licensed childcare or preschool settings.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Works productively without supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass state background checks.

Responsabilités

• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging.
• Assist in communicating with families about their child's progress and daily activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment.
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.
