Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three years previous experience working in meat market or retail grocery store preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Meat Department Operations: support readiness, staffing, supervision, price maintenance, policies and procedures, inventory preparation, department financial goals and objectives, cleanliness, and safe use of equipment.
• Meat Department Replenishment & Inventory Procedures: assist in ordering, replenishment, receiving, invoicing, back stock, reclamation and returns, damages and reworks, supply use and inventory preparation.
• Merchandising & Sales Floor Standards: proper stocking, rotation, signing, displays, sampling and department procedures.
• Food Production and Processing: follow all company and food safety guidelines; ensure products are properly packaged, weighed/priced/labeled according to requirements.
• Equipment and Tools: adhere to proper equipment procedures, including cleaning and maintenance.
• Problem Solving: define issues upfront and use critical thinking to obtain answers.
• Safety/Quality Orientation: emphasize high quality while ensuring safety for self and others.
