Job summary

Westlake Ace Hardware, part of Ace Retail Group, seeks a General Manager in Training (GMIT) to develop in all store operations and prepare for advancement to General Manager in an assigned store in Michigan. You will gain experience in leadership, customer service, inventory control and daily store management.

The role emphasizes training, supervision of store operations, budgeting support, and staff development to drive profitability and excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years of retail management experience; hardware experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.
• Standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and climbing.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Ability to relocate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop in all store operations to prepare for General Manager role.
• Assist and help supervise overall store operations and profitability.
• Support P&L and budget processes with the District Manager/General Manager.
• Lead and participate in weekly management meetings and associate development.
