Job summary

The US-Farm-Service-Agenc is offering a 12-month training program to be implemented across Montana. The location will be determined after candidate selection, with travel throughout the state and possible relocation after training.

Applicants must meet the qualification requirements listed in Handbook 27-PM. Eligibility includes education-based options and/or specialized experience at CO-5/GS-5 or CO-7/GS-7 levels, with potential to start at CO-07 for qualifying candidates.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of one full year of graduate education from an accredited college or university.
• Superior Academic Achievement: a bachelor's degree with GPA/standing criteria or honor society membership.
• Unofficial transcript must be provided at the initial phase; official transcript before entering on duty.
• One-year specialized experience equivalent to CO-5/GS-5 in agricultural program knowledge and analysis.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to CO-7/GS-7 in agricultural program evaluation and reporting.
• One year of any supervisory experience; or a combination of education and experience.

Education

One full year of graduate education

Superior Academic Achievement criteria (GPA 3.0 / 3.5 / class standing / National Honor Society)

Unofficial transcript submitted with application

One-year specialized experience equivalent to grade CO-5 or GS-5 level in agricultural program analysis

One year of specialized experience equivalent to CO-7/GS-7 in the federal service

One year supervisory experience

Combination of education and experience as described above
