Job summary

Core & Main is seeking a field technician to operate equipment that fuses piping and install HDPE piping systems. This role requires using a company or personal vehicle and offers on-site field work with occasional travel.

You will perform electro fusion, inspect welds, and ensure quality control while coordinating with customers on installation and repair needs. The position involves transporting equipment to job sites, using field equipment and a forklift, and being on-call for emergencies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED, strongly preferred.
• Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
• 2–5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Experience in electro fuse and structure welding.

Responsibilities

• Determines appropriate method and equipment necessary to install pipe.
• Provides and installs custom HDPE piping systems and repair systems.
• Electro fuses and structure welds; inspects and maintains fusion EQ.
• Communicates with customers to assess needs.

This position requires operation of a Company Vehicle or a Personal Vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of the average work week. If selected for this position, Core & Main will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
