Job summary

METROPOLITAN WAREHOUSE AND DELIVERY in Earth City, MO is seeking full-time Warehouse Associates to load and unload heavy furniture in a fast-paced setting. You will sort items by size and weight, scan and stage packages, and help maintain accurate inventory levels.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly (100 pounds with assistance), and flexibility to work extended hours as needed. Prior warehouse experience and forklift familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year minimum of previous warehouse experience desired.
• Experience working with furniture preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with heavy furniture.
• Flexibility to working past quitting time to get the job done.
• Detailed record keeping.
• Previous Forklift Certification/Experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload packages/boxes (furniture) in a fast-paced environment.
• Sort packages/boxes of varying sizes and weights by hand; lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, scanning, staging, wrapping, etc.
• Assist in verifying inventory quantity and inventory level maintenance.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
• Operate warehouse equipment in a safe manner.
