Job summary

Heritage Interiors, an Akima company, is seeking skilled General Laborers and Installers with valid licenses to support warehouse and logistics operations in the Washington, DC area across multiple facilities. The team handles property movement, inventory, shipments, and furniture installation/disassembly.

You will perform physical moves, assemble/disassemble furniture per manufacturer specs, receive and verify shipments, maintain logs, package items for shipment, coordinate deliveries, conduct

Qualifications

• Reliable, responsible and professional in a labor-intensive role.
• Ability to safely move and transport office equipment and furniture within buildings.
• Proficient in assembling/disassembling furniture per manufacturer standards.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / CBP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install and disassemble furniture and systems as specified.
• Move furniture, supplies and assets between the warehouse and buildings.
• Receive, inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy.
• Maintain shipping/receiving logs and delivery tickets.
• Package items for shipment and label accordingly.
• Coordinate with customers on shipment arrival and sign deliveries when required.
• Conduct inventories of equipment and supplies.
• Document and report missing freight or signed-for items.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and shrink-wrap machines.
• Maintain forklift certification and safety standards.
• Occasional weekend or after-hours work may be required.
• Operate a 26-foot box truck.
