Job summary

AOI Corporation's Furniture Division in Omaha, NE is seeking a skilled Furniture Installer to deliver high-quality commercial installations. You will work on site at client locations, read blueprints, coordinate with project managers, and help ensure safety and craftsmanship reflect AOI's standards.

Ideal candidates bring experience with commercial furniture installation, read installation drawings, possess a Nebraska or Iowa driver’s license, and enjoy teamwork in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade commercial contract furniture at client sites.
• Load and unload furniture and components.
• Uncrate products and remove packaging from sites.
• Inspect and document product condition prior to installation.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine installation methods.
• Measure, mark, prepare, and cut components as required.
• Assist with wall starts, wall mounts, and panel installations.
• Secure panels, partitions, and related components for stabilization.
• Install hardware including locks, trays, drawers, and accessories.
• Communicate with Project Managers and clients during installations.
• Complete daily paperwork including work orders, timecards, and photos.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.

What You’ll Do

• Install and upgrade commercial contract furniture at client sites, including high-end systems and components
• Loadand unload furniture and components at warehouses and jobsites
• Uncrate products and remove packaging and debris from jobsites
• Inspect and document product condition prior to installation
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine installation methods
• Measure, mark, prepare, and cut components as required
• Assist with wall starts, wall mounts, and panel installations
• Secure panels, partitions, and related components for proper stabilization
• Install hardware including locks, trays, drawers, and accessories
• Communicate with Project Managers and clients before, during, and after installations
• Accurately complete daily paperwork including work orders, timecards, and progress photos
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite in accordance with AOI and client standards

What We’re Looking For

• Commercial furniture installation preferred
• DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (AOI will obtain for eligible candidates)
• Valid Nebraska and/or Iowa driver’s license required
• Ability to read installation drawings and blueprints
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position is physically demanding and performed in active construction environments. Regular duties include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and using hands and tools. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to lift or team‑lift items up to 100 pounds. Work may occur indoors and outdoors and includes exposure to weather conditions, construction noise, and jobsite hazards. The employee must be able to safely navigate active job‑sites and comply with all safety policies and PPE requirements.
