Job summary

HOM Furniture is seeking a Delivery Driver to manage a straight-truck delivery route, including on-site assembly as needed. You will check furniture for any issues and address customer concerns while maintaining the vehicle’s readiness and cleanliness.

The role emphasizes reliable transportation, physical stamina, and clear communication with customers and team members to ensure a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Must be working towards or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Medical Physical.
• 1–3 years related experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers professionally.

Responsibilities

• Delivering customers' furniture on a daily route, including assembly and installation when required.
• Inspecting furniture for flaws or damage before delivery.
• Resolve customer complaints when they arise and ensure satisfaction.
• Inspect and clean the company vehicle to keep it presentable and functional.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Education: Must be working towards or have a high school diploma or GED.

Licenses Required: Must have a driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Medical Physical.

Experience: 1-3 years related experience preferred.

Physical Demands: High physical demands can be required. The employee is regularly required to stand for sustained periods of time. The employee can be expected to lift, push, and pull up to 150 pounds individually and up to 300 pounds as a part of a team. Occasionally, The employee will be required to ascend and descend ladders and stairs in a safe manner. May be required to work safely from heights when necessary. The employee must adhere to safe lifting techniques, follow proper training for learned job hazards and ergonomic risk factors, participate in the departmental stretching program, and maintain an overall safe working environment.

Other: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be 21 or older.
