Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additional training needs will be identified during employee appraisals.
• Furnace operating: Trainee will operate under the supervision of an approved furnace operator and must have the recommendation of the training operator and supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Operate Batch and Temper Furnace.
• Make adjustments to controls as needed.
• Verify accuracy of racking of product with fixtures/alloy.
• Perform routine maintenance on the carbon analyzer.
• Burn shims and document paperwork.
• Assist with Racking and unracking of product.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the department.
• Supervise Batch Rackers during the absence of the shift supervisor.
