Production Operator
The ideal candidate for this position will be comfortable working with machinery and performing daily maintenance and repairs
Load and unload setups, breakdowns, and operating equipment, able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment
Operate related equipment, such as cranes, forklifts, and power tools when required
Follow written specifications
Maintain accurate logs and monitor equipment to ensure it is producing the proper output
Perform housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean workplace
Uses personal protective equipment as required by the job, including but not limited to the wearing of safety vest, gloves, and eye protection
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS / ABILITIES:
Basic knowledge of mechanical practices and ideas
Experience/knowledge in a manufacturing setting and operating equipment is preferred
Basic understanding of the Heat Treat process, 5S, safety and quality policies and procedures.
Ability to operate a computer.
Basic understanding of how to make a minor mechanical or quality adjustment while they are operating the equipment and the ability to locate resources to help with advanced issues
ESSENTIALPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Stand for 7.5 hours
Climb/lift self onto forklift many times a day
Lift 50 pounds occasionally
Lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly for 7.5 hours a day
Climb ladders up to 6’ tall
Push/pull using rakes/tools
Pull cart up to 150 pounds for 150’
Clean with push broom and shovel
Lift shovel with up to 15-20 pounds
Bend over to inspect tubs, pick up parts on floor
Work in elevated temperatures up to 120 F for periods up to 15 minutes
Perform quench inspection of 2-3 parts per hour handling up to 50 pounds per part.
