Responsibilities

• Follows Owens Corning safety policies and procedures.
• Insures goals are met on a daily basis.
• Maintain quality by ensuring furnace and afterburner operate consistently.
• Assist in furnace startup, shutdowns, and clean outs.
• Inspect furnace and controls; complete shift change inspection list.
• Control and monitor furnace operations and maintain burden height.
• Regularly monitor furnace power and temperature.
• Manage cupola parameters and flow rates; monitor temperatures.
• Report problems and follow emergency procedures.
• Operate forklift and related material handling equipment.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by lead.
