Job summary

Emerald Hills Funeral Home is seeking a part-time ambassador to support funeral services and assist Funeral Directors and location staff. You will help ensure services run smoothly, greet families, direct guests, and manage details to exceed client expectations.

Role emphasizes customer service, empathy, and professional conduct in a sensitive environment with community engagement. Flexible scheduling and travel up to 10% may apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently; bilingual a plus.
• Demonstrated willingness to participate in growing market share through personal community involvement.
• Ability to empathize with client families and their guests and demonstrate tact in emotionally charged situations.

Responsibilities

• Greets and directs client families and guests to the correct chapel.
• Directs visitors to guest book and distributes memorialization materials.
• Answers questions and assists with serving client families, their guests and other visitors.
• Receives and places flowers in chapels.
• Ensures refreshments are available to client families and their guests.
• Maintains lobby, chapels, restrooms and reception areas clean and prepared.
• Oversees parking area and ensures ceremonial vehicles are arranged.
• Assists with directing/transporting families to service locations.
• Represents the business in a professional, ethical manner at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
