Carriage Services, based in Ohio, is seeking a Funeral Director/Embalmer to join Baker Stevens Parramore Funeral Home. You will meet with families to arrange personalized memorial services and ensure compliant documentation, while actively participating in community events and maintaining accurate client files.

The role requires a valid Funeral Director/Embalmer license (or ability to obtain it in the state), a minimum of two years of experience, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as Funeral Director/Embalmer.
• Valid Funeral Director/Embalmer License and/or ability to obtain licenses in the state where business is located.
• Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to participate in growing market through community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Meets with client families to listen and arrange personalized memorial services.
• Ensures timely and appropriate document filing in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Conducts and attends services regularly.
• Maintains open and up-to-date client files and communicates effectively.
• Understands and implements company-provided training.
• On-call/first call with embalming skills at care center locations.
• Uses proprietary software for merchandise options, contracts, and forms.
• Leads employees to ensure high professionalism and service level.
• Participates in events with community groups/organizations.
