Hoskinson Funeral Home is seeking a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer to handle day-to-day operations and support families with exemplary customer service. The role reports to the Funeral Home Location Leader and is full-time, with on-call rotation.

You will manage arrangements, services, removals, embalming, dressing, casketing, and ensure compliant paperwork. You must hold an Ohio license, have 1–3 years of directing experience, and maintain a clean driving record while upholding company

• Licensed Funeral Director in Ohio (or ability to reciprocate)
• 1–3 years or more of Funeral Directing preferred
• Drivers license with clean driving record
• Adhering to the dress code of the funeral home
• Willingness and ability to be on call on a rotating schedule

Responsabilidades

• Participate in all daily activities at the funeral home, including arrangements, services, and removals; embalming, dressing, casketing
• Counsel with and coordinate arrangements with families and third parties to carry out funeral, cremation and cemetery services
• Explain benefits, present options and assist with selection of products and services
• Execute and finalize financial arrangements for purchases and secure payment
• Assist with visitations, services, and preparation
• Maintain required paperwork accurately and timely
• Maintain licensure/certifications to meet regulations
• Transfer cremated remains and prepare urns/keepsakes per best practices
• Keep facilities clean and organized; perform general upkeep
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Manager
• Contribute to a strong team and supportive culture
• Perform embalming and cosmetology per industry standards if applicable

We are looking for a funeral director and embalmer to complete all day-to-day activities at the funeral home. Above all, we are searching for a motivated team player who wants to be part of a tight-knit group. The funeral director will assist families with exemplary customer service skills and ensure all family needs are met.

Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in all daily activities at the funeral home, including but not limited to arrangements, services, and removals as needed, embalming, dressing, casketing
• Counsel with and coordinate arrangements with families and other third parties to carry out selected funeral, cremation and cemetery services with care and compassion
• Develop and maintain the necessary knowledge to explain the benefits, present all options and assist with the selection of all products and services offered to families
• Execute and finalize all financial arrangements for purchases of merchandise and services selected by families, including securing payment in accordance with company policy
• Assist with conducting, set up and preparation of visitations, funeral and memorial services
• Follow all administrative policies and procedures related to the deceased, and ensure that all required paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain necessary licensure and/or other certification to meet any local, state, or federal regulations
• Maintain knowledge of applicable company policies and procedures, and ensure that they are carried out at all times
• Assist in transferring of cremated remains and packaging and preparation of urns/keepsakes according to industry best practices
• Participate in the general upkeep of the building, grounds and cars, including light housekeeping to keep the facilities and grounds in perfect order. This includes keeping work areas tidy, picking up litter on the grounds and general straightening up as needed
• Take on additional or new responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the Manager

• If applicable: Perform embalming of decedent and cosmetology according to industry standards and practices, technical, safety and sanitary requirements

• Licensed Funeral Director in Ohio or ability to reciprocate
