Job summary

Carriage Services seeks a dedicated Funeral Director to meet with families, arrange personalized memorial services, and manage paperwork. This full-time role is based at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan, TX, with occasional support at a sister location in College Station.

You will participate in the community and uphold professional service standards. Requirements include 2+ years as a Funeral Director, an active license (or ability to obtain), and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Funeral Director.
• Valid Funeral Director license and/or the ability to obtain license in the state of employment.
• Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to participate in growing market share through community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Meets with client families to listen and arrange memorial services.
• Ensures all files and paperwork are timely and compliant with laws.
• Conducts and attends services regularly.
• Understands and implements company-provided training.
• Works on-call/first call, as needed.
• Uses systems to review merchandise options, enter contracts and complete forms.
• Directs employees to maintain high professionalism and service levels.
• Communicates with corporate support.
• Maintains open client files and participates in community events.

Compensation: Starting $25+ per hour (depending on overall experience) negotiable

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Hillier Funeral Home located at 2301 East 29th Street Bryan, Texas and will be assisting at sister location 4080 State Hwy 6 College Station, Texas. 5 minutes apart.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a Funeral Director.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

The duties associated with this position are generally performed in an indoor office setting; however, some duties may be performed outdoors. Outdoor duties may require exposure to natural elements such as inclement weather, extreme temperatures, uneven ground, dust, gas, and/or fumes.

Must have sufficient strength and manual dexterity and must be willing to work safely and comply with the Company’s safety procedures, including wearing any personal protective equipment that may be required.

Employees in this role are regularly required to climb, sit, stand, bend, kneel, and frequently lift up to 75 pounds, and may be required to lift up to 100 pounds.

Performance of this position’s duties may also require power reaching, pushing, and pulling.

This position’s duties require routine exposure to chemicals and/or blood borne pathogens.

Must be able to drive a company vehicle and maintain a good driving record and must be insurable under company vehicle insurance.
