Job summary

Impact Funeral Partners is seeking a Funeral Assistant at its Show Low location to provide compassionate, dignified support to families from first contact through committal. You will work with licensed funeral directors to ensure every family feels seen, heard, and honored throughout the service process.

The role requires a valid Arizona driver’s license, physical ability to handle loads, flexible availability including evenings and weekends, and a mindset focused on respectful, discrete care.

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Must be physically capable of regularly lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving loved ones and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds independently, and frequently managing loads exceeding 150 to 250 pounds as part of a synchronized team lift or utilizing mechanical assistance.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation.
• Prior funeral home experience or mortuary science coursework preferred; intern/trainee candidates welcome.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to serve families in their time of need.
• Discretion and professionalism in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the removal and transportation of the deceased in a respectful, professional manner
• Set up and assist with funeral services, visitations, and graveside ceremonies
• Drive funeral vehicles, including hearses and family cars
• Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the facility, vehicles, and equipment
• Provide compassionate, attentive support to grieving families during services
• Assist with filing permits and obtaining required documentation
