Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of relevant experience in investment management, asset management, or financial services regulatory matters.
• Strong knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and/or the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
• Experience with ETFs, interval funds, BDCs, broker-dealer regulation, commodities, digital assets, or global regulatory matters.
• Large law firm, in-house, or regulatory agency experience preferred.

Our client, a premier global law firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney (3-7 years of experience) to join its highly regarded Investment Management and Financial Services Regulatory practice.

This market-leading team advises a sophisticated client base that includes asset managers, investment funds, financial institutions, and emerging fintech businesses, ranging from innovative startups to some of the world's largest financial services organizations.

The practice counsels clients on a broad spectrum of regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters impacting the asset management industry, including:

• Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act matters
• Registered funds, ETFs, interval funds, and business development companies (BDCs)
• Investment adviser regulation and compliance
• Global and cross-border asset management regulations
• SEC examinations, investigations, and enforcement matters
• Broker-dealer regulatory issues
• Commodities regulation
• Digital assets, blockchain, and emerging financial technologies

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of relevant experience in investment management, asset management, or financial services regulatory matters
• Strong knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and/or the Investment Advisers Act of 1940
• Experience with ETFs, interval funds, BDCs, broker-dealer regulation, commodities, digital assets, or global regulatory matters is highly desirable
• Large law firm, in-house, or regulatory agency experience preferred
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
