Funds Associate – Husch Blackwell LLP is a national law firm with multiple locations across the United States, serving clients with domestic and international operations. We have an immediate opening for a Funds Associate with three to five years of experience preferred. This role will be based in any of our offices, including the virtual office, The Link. The ideal candidate will have a general corporate and securities background with specific experience advising investment funds through all stages of their lifecycle, and advising investors in such funds. Experience with private equity, private credit, and venture capital funds is preferred. The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Financial Services & Capital Markets strategic business unit.

Responsibilities
  • Advising investment funds and their investors on legal matters throughout the funds’ lifecycle.
  • Working closely with attorneys in the Financial Services & Capital Markets unit to develop and implement legal strategies.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and timely delivery.
  • Articulating legal strategies and courses of action to clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications

  • Experience with private equity, private credit, and venture capital funds.
  • Excellent academic credentials.

Compensation

Compensation ranges vary by market and are commensurate with qualifications and experience. For example, in New York, Vermont, and Washington, D.C. the range is $240,000 – $285,000. In California, Colorado, and Massachusetts the range is $230,000 – $285,000. In Maryland, New Jersey, and Washington the range is $230,000 – $275,000. Salaries in other markets will vary based on local data. Associates are eligible for an Associate Performance Bonus and Client Development Bonus.
