Position Summary
The student intern will support the Fundraising and Marketing team through project development, social media strategy, event coordination, and outreach. This role provides hands‑on experience in nonprofit management, community engagement, and program implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Fundraising and Marketing team with day‑to‑day operational tasks.
- Develop and execute a full fundraising project during the internship period, under the guidance of the Development Director. Responsibilities include project planning, marketing, implementation, and evaluation.
- Support the organization’s social media strategy, with a strong emphasis on creating video‑based content.
- Assist with event planning, logistics, and on‑site event support.
- Attend and participate in community outreach events on behalf of the organization.
- Contribute to the management and optimization of Google Ad Grants initiatives.
- Complete additional administrative or program support tasks as needed.
Time Commitment
- Must be able to commit to working a minimum of 8‑16 hours per week.
- Must be able to work during regular office hours Monday‑Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.
- Some weekend and evening hours may be beneficial to assist with events.
Specific Project Ideas
- Implement and manage the CFS Google Ad Grant.
- Review and update the CFS policy manual.
- Develop and implement a new fundraising campaign or event to generate revenue for the organization.
- Research and update the CFS organization grants calendar.
