Independence Institute is offering a Development Intern role as part of the Koch Internship Program (KIP) run by Stand Together Fellowships. Interns will gain hands-on fundraising and donor relations experience while supporting grant writing and events at a Colorado think tank.

Open to undergraduate/graduate students; this paid internship emphasizes professional development and mentorship, with stipends for full-time or part-time participation and the chance to contribute to public policy

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational abilities.
• Interest in nonprofit management, fundraising, or public policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with donor database management and data analysis.
• Support donor cultivation and stewardship efforts.
• Conduct prospect research to identify potential supporters.
• Contribute to grant writing and fundraising appeals.
• Develop and implement elements of marketing and fundraising strategy.
• Help plan and execute fundraising events.
• Complete individually tailored projects that advance the Institute’s mission.
