Job summary

The American Technion Society (ATS) is seeking a Fundraising Data Specialist in a hybrid New York metro role. The position emphasizes advanced Raiser’s Edge data management, reporting, and collaboration with major gifts officers.

You will ensure data hygiene, support the Gifts Administration team, and deliver regular donor insights and dashboards. You will work closely with multiple departments to leverage data for donor cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising strategies while upholding

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience managing data analysis and reporting, preferably in RE
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, including ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret data
  • Advanced knowledge of RE and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Be the project manager for our ticketing system and project management software system– ensure all tickets are responded to and completed in a timely manner
  • Own all basic Raiser’s Edge requests including updating constituent biographical information, decreasing supporters, updating solicit codes and ensuring do not mail lists are complete
  • Update email address and other basic biographical information in Engaging Networks to ensure it matches Raiser’s Edge as needed
  • Work with the Assistant Director, Database Services and Gifts Administration to create and implement regular mass data hygiene updates including change of address, constituent code, and biographical details
  • Master Raiser’s Edge import and global change functions to facilitate bulk updates, create actions, add or update event lists
  • Be the primary point person for the rest of the Development team for Raiser’s Edge and Engaging Networks basics
  • Ensure data practices align with organizational goals and industry best practices
  • Design Raisers Edge reports, queries and exports as needed/requested
  • Create and distribute standard daily/weekly/monthly reports
  • Generate required donor lists for philanthropic giving, digital engagement, donor stewardship and marketing strategies
  • Provide data insights, prospect lists, and analysis to support donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
  • Work with stakeholders to analyze business processes and make recommendations to improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with outside agencies as needed for report development
  • Regularly audit existing reporting and make recommendations for enhancements or new analysis
  • Partner with stakeholders to propose ways of maintaining data and coding in various systems for better data management and reporting
  • Support the Assistant Director, Database Services and Gifts Administration in ongoing gift data entry, governance and data hygiene

Your Role

TheFundraisingData Specialist must be knowledgeable of data standards and best practices as they relate to fundraising.This role requires them to be an expert in Raiser’s Edge with advanced data management and reporting skills,strong communicationskills, and an interest in fundraising. They will work closely with major gifts officers, senior staff, and various departments toidentifyand execute opportunities to further leverage Raiser’s Edge to achieve the organization’s mission.

The Data Specialist will spend most of their time working within Raiser’s Edge but will also be expected to handle basic data hygiene and inquiries within our email system Engaging Networks. In addition, this role will support our Gift Administration department, especially during high volume periods.

Primary Duties:

  • Be the project manager for our ticketing system and project management software system– ensure all tickets are responded to and completedin a timelymanner

Who you are:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience

  • Ability to document policies and procedures and communicate complex technical information
