Job summary

National Seating & Mobility seeks a Funding Operations Leader to oversee the Funding Department, manage the Funding Leadership Team, and coordinate with senior leaders to ensure timely and compliant funding approvals.

You will develop training materials, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous education for the team while maintaining high standards and strong collaboration with office leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Complex Rehab Technology Funding operations.
  • 2+ years of experience managing 10+ direct reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to review, analyze and interpret business reports, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees transaction cycle time from Ready to Process to Funding Approval to ensure timely, quality funding.
  • Coordinates hiring, training, mentoring, and performance of the Funding Specialist Team.
  • Develops and maintains training materials, guides, and progress reporting.
  • Manages Funding Specialists and Lead Funding Specialists for self-sufficient performance.
  • Monitors productivity, quality, and compassion of Funding Specialists.
  • Directs work order caseloads and shifts responsibilities as needed.
  • Coordinates temporary coverage to maintain timely, high-quality orders.
  • Shares Key Performance Indicators with the team and stakeholders regularly.
  • Calculates and requests monthly bonus payments for direct reports.
  • Manages credit exception process to expedite delivery when appropriate.
  • Resolves employee and client conflicts up to the appropriate authority level.
  • Handles payroll/administrative functions for direct reports.
  • Maintains personal continuing education related to job duties and policies.
  • Meets minimum productivity and quality standards.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the Division Funding Director with professional conduct.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Job description

Oversees and manages all aspects and functions of the Funding Department. Manages the Funding Leadership Team within the assigned territory, ensuring that job duties are performed at or above NSM standards. Coordinates with the Divisional Vice Presidents (DVP), Regional Area Directors (RAD), Branch Leaders (BM / GM), Assistive Technology Professionals (ATP), and other office leadership and support personnel to ensure all Funding procedures are completed in accordance with company policy and within expected time frames.

Duties and Responsibilities / Essential Functions

1. Manages transaction cycle time (TCT) from Ready to Process to Funding Approval, making certain that all necessary steps are taken in the appropriate order ensuring timeliness of process and quality of funding approval.

2. Coordinates and manages the hiring, training, mentoring, performance, continuous education, and career development of the Funding Specialist Team.

3. Develops and maintains training materials, guides and progress reporting.

4. Management and career development of the Funding Specialists and Lead Funding Specialists that results in self-sufficient performance management.5. Manages Funding Specialists; monitoring productivity, quality, and compassion.

6. Ensures productivity of Funding Specialist assignments and directs work order caseloads, shifting responsibilities when necessary.

7. Coordinates temporary coverage to ensure all orders are worked timely with a high level of quality and compassion.

8. Coordinates and shares Key Performance Indicators with direct report team and stakeholders on a regular basis.

9. Calculates and requests bonus payment for direct report team on a monthly basis.

10. Manages the credit exception process to expedited delivery when appropriate and directed.

11. Responsible for employee and client conflict resolution. If resolution cannot be achieved, passes issue to appropriate level of authority.

12. Responsible for payroll/administrative function for all direct reports.

13. Responsible for personal continuing education related to job duties; i.e.: NSM’s current and/or new policies and procedures, completing any courses on NSM University, and research of payer issues and updates related to his or her territory.

14. Must meet minimum productivity and quality standards.

15. Performs any related job duties assigned by the Division Funding Director. Carries out all position expectations in a professional manner and with minimal supervision.

16. Must maintain regular and predictable attendance.

This position primarily operates in a work from home environment. The work from home policy and requirements must be adhered to. Occasionally, this job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Required Education, Experience & Competencies
  • 5 years of experience in Complex Rehab Technology Funding operations
  • 2 years of experience managing a minimum of 10 direct reportsProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to review, analyze and interpret general business reports, technical procedures, work instructions and governmental regulations
