Chamberlain University in Illinois is seeking Part-Time Nursing Faculty to teach in the BSN Nursing online program. You will serve as facilitator, role model, coach and advisor, incorporating Chamberlain Care philosophy to educate diverse nursing professionals.

Part-time professors lead asynchronous discussions and live lectures with AM/PM options, and will be available via email, online conferencing or telephone to assist students.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing is required.

Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part-Time Nursing Faculty interested in teaching with our BSN Nursing program online.

You will be teaching students in the roleof facilitator, role model, coach and advisor. Incorporating Chamberlain Care philosophy to educate and embolden diverse nursing professionals in a culture where students and colleagues thrive and cultivate extraordinary nursing graduates.

Part-time professors lead asynchronous discussions and teach synchronous live lectures each week, (scheduling AM and PM options for students) and will be available via email, online conferencing or telephone, to provide support and respond to student's enquiries in a timely manner.

We are presently accepting applications in the following area of course specialization:

NR-224: Fundamentals: Skills
Students are introduced to the fundamental skills of professional nursing. An introductory unit of physics provides the basis for understanding concepts such as body mechanics, positioning and mobility. The laboratory component provides practice of selected fundamental nursing skills, as well as psychomotor skills necessary for care of individuals requiring assistance with mobility, hygiene and comfort. Included are basic principles of drug administration, teaching-learning and vital-sign assessment. Students have the opportunity to develop the beginning skills of a professional nurse through experiential learning.

Responsibilities

• Provides students with an approved Chamberlainsyllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, and which includes the terminal course objectives.
• Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and update all course materials as needed.
• Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.
• Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.
• Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.
• Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
• Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams and provide timely feedback to students.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $715/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience.
Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certificates; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
