Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day operations of investment vehicles, including transactions and capital calls.
  • Coordinate with fund managers, administrators, custodians, and internal teams for timely processing.
  • Assist with cash/portfolio reconciliations and investor reporting.
  • Maintain fund data, trackers, and management reporting.
  • Learn AI/automation tools to streamline workflows and reduce manual work.
  • Test AI outputs and new technology solutions for accuracy and controls.
  • Support additional fund management projects as needed.

CAIS isseekinga highly organized and process-oriented Analyst to join theFundManagementteam. This role will primarily supportfundoperations across single-investment andfund-of-funds vehicles, with opportunities toassistwithfundaccounting and financial reporting activities.

The Analyst will also playan important rolein learning, testing, and applying AI tools to improve how the teamoperates. The ideal candidate is curious about technology, eager to develop an understanding of alternative investment operations, and motivated to automate manual processes whilemaintainingstrong controls and data accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Support the day-to-day operations of investment vehicles, including transactions, capital calls, distributions, cash movements, and otherfundlifecycle events.
  • Monitor underlying investments andcoordinatewithfundmanagers, administrators, custodians, and internal teams to ensuretimelyandaccurateprocessing.
  • Assistwith cash and portfolio reconciliations, month-end and quarter-end activities, investor reporting, and otherfundaccounting deliverables.
  • Maintainaccuratefunddata, operational trackers, process documentation, controls, and management reporting.
  • Learn and apply AI and automation tools to streamline workflows, analyze data, prepare documentation, and reduce manual work.
  • Test AI-generated outputs andnew technologysolutions to ensure accuracy, consistency, andappropriate controls.
  • Supportadditionalfundmanagement, accounting, and strategic projects based on business needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, ora relateddiscipline preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience infundoperations,fundaccounting, financial services, or a related field; alternative investment experience is preferred.
  • Foundational understanding of investment operations,fundstructures, reconciliations, or accounting principles.
  • Strong interest in learning and applying AI tools to improve processes; experience using AI or automation tools is preferred.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills, with close attention to data accuracy and detail.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working with internal teams and external service providers.

CAIS’ compensation package includes a market competitive salary, a performance bonus, and exceptional benefits. If you are located in New York, New York, the base salary range for this role is $72,000.00 - $88,000.00 . Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
