Job summary

The Fund Controller role at a global, investment-focused asset management firm in Stamford, CT, is a hands-on finance position reporting to senior leadership. This hybrid role requires a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset. Hybrid work model is in place with 2 days in the office per week.

Qualifications

• Approximately 4–8 years of relevant experience.
• Hedge fund experience is required.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Experience in public accounting, private accounting, or a combination of both.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute a broad range of fund accounting and financial reporting responsibilities.
• Participate in the preparation and review of financial statements, NAVs, and related reporting.
• Support technical accounting matters and complex fund-related transactions.
• Partner closely with senior leadership on accounting, finance, and operational initiatives.
• Help identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and overall efficiency.
• Work cross-functionally across the organization and gain exposure to a wide range of fund operations.
