Job summary

Standish Management, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented accounting associate to support the day-to-day operations of the accounting department and prepare fund-level financial statements.

You will prepare statements for domestic and offshore fund families, manage portfolio schedules, and assist with audits, capital calls, and partner communications. The role requires 1–2 years of experience and strong Excel skills in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field required.
1–2 years of experience in a full-time role preferred.
Strong GPA (min 3.0)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus
Knowledge of investment accounting concepts
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Prepare financial statements for domestic and offshore fund families, including updating schedules and allocations.
Support semi-annual portfolio review process and analyze financial performance.
Monitor compliance with partnership agreements.
Assist with audits, tax review, fundraising, and annual meetings.
Determine cash needs of partnerships and initiate capital calls.
Distribute financials and notices to Limited Partners.
Handle ad hoc requests from General Partners and Controllers.

Job description

Job DescriptionReporting to one of the managers, this position will assist in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department and prepare fund-level financial statements.

Essential Functions

Prepare financial statements for several domestic and offshore fund families, which includes updating portfolio investment schedules, partner equity allocations and analyzing complex investment transactions
Help with the internal semi-annual portfolio review process, analyzing and tracking partnership and portfolio company financial performance
Monitor compliance with complex partnership agreements
Assist with audits, tax return review, fundraising and annual meeting activities
Determine cash needs of partnerships and initiate capital calls
Electronically distribute financials, K1s, capital call and distribution notices to Limited Partners
Perform special projects as requested by the General Partners and Controllers
Interact with and respond to ad hoc limited partner requests

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance related field
1-2 years of experience in a full-time role
Strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 GPA)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Familiarity with QuickBooks (not required, is a plus)
Knowledge of various investment accounting concepts
Attention to detail
